Chicago Society for Neuroscience, March 21, 2025: 1st place in the undergraduate poster competition, and celebrating with Schwalbe Lab labmates.

2024–2025

Co-President, Nu Rho Psi

Lake Forest College chapter of the national honor society in neuroscience. I co-chaired the 12th Glassman Symposium, where 40+ students and alumni presented posters to more than 150 guests; won an activity grant with my co-president for an event on social media and the brain; and coordinated the induction ceremony with the chair of neuroscience.

Treasurer, Student Government

Two terms chairing the Student Affairs Finance Board, which allocated more than $500,000 to clubs and organizations. I mentored incoming board members and worked with the Gates Center for Leadership & Growth and the Dean of Students office to amend the funding guidelines and make them clearer to student leaders.

Neuroscience outreach

As co-president of Synapse, the campus neuroscience club, I planned “Brain Bites” with the dining hall’s executive chef, a multi-day event on food habits and nourishment that reached more than 300 people, and designed the club’s event posters. I later helped present the department’s year-round brain awareness model at Neuroscience 2024.
2023–Present

Volunteer, Care for Friends's Foot Clinic

Episcopal Church of the Atonement, Chicago. Providing foot care for elderly and diabetic patients, many of them experiencing homelessness.
